LUXAVIATION GROUP: COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE AVIATION
The Luxaviation Group unveils its annual Sustainability Report.
Luxaviation has released its 83-page 2023 Sustainability Report, highlighting the business aircraft, helicopter and FBO network operators’ impact and progress on material environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics.
The Luxembourg-based company has committed to understanding and reducing its global carbon footprint making progressive steps towards reductions in fuel consumption and GHG emissions arising from across its multifaceted operations. The report outlines a number of Luxaviation’s ongoing initiatives and future plans, with a focus on the following:
Electrification of FBO GHE
Luxaviation has initiated the electrification of its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Ground Handling Equipment (GHE) in a move to reduce ground emissions. Transistioning to electric GHE significantly minimises environmental impact and enhances operational efficiency with ExecuJet, part of the Luxaviation Group, gaving achieved 57% towards its target of GHE electrification by 2030 at its FBO in Paris Le Bourget.
Energy efficiency and waste management
By integrating best practices for more environmental and socially responsible operations, Luxaviation is actively managing its energy use. Waste reduction strategies further underscore the company’s commitment to sustainability, notably aiming to reduce single-use plastic bottles and cans across all ExecuJet FBOs by 60% by 2025 (complete elimination targeted by 2026).
Community and employee engagement
An emphasis on social responsibility through robust community and employee engagement programs is also a Luxaviation initiative – this is in addition to its environmental initiatives.

Collaborative efforts
Luxaviation’s sustainability strategy is reinforced by its multi-stakeholder engagement programme and collaborations with industry stakeholders. These already include aircraft manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and environmental organisations, and going forward, the company is planning a number of new partnerships including EcoVadis (the leading provider in business sustainability ratings), Azzera (an innovative provider of sustainability solutions for aviation), and Nordic EVTOL Networks (the leading vertiport developer in Scandinavia).
