Sichuan Dahua acquires ArrowCopter

EChina’s Sichuan Dahua General Aircraft Manufacturing Company has successfully acquired the entire assets of leading Austrian gyrocopter company ArrowCopter.

The deal follows the recent conclusion of a formal agreement in insolvency court. The UK’s Aerospace Investments and Beijing’s Silk Wings Aviation brokered the transaction.

Production of the ArrowCopter will remain in Austria, while discussions take place with several of the company’s former key personnel. There will also be a parallel, complementary certification programme to prepare for serial production in China.

Dahua will continue to develop the business, focusing on R&D upgrades.
